"I have new teeth!" After many years of smoking that ruined his bite, Chuck discovered Pro Dental Dallas and got his smile back on track.

Cosmetic dentistry, also known as restorative dentistry, is generally used to refer to any dental treatment that improves the appearance of one’s teeth. This can include a smile makeover, teeth whitening, and more. Here at Pro Dental Dallas, we can help with your cosmetic dentistry treatments.
While the ADA doesn’t offer an official certification or board specialty for cosmetic dentistry, there are dental procedures that focus on dental aesthetics. The two dental specialties that focus on aesthetics are prosthodontists and orthodontists. Our team is highly qualified to handle full mouth restorations, complicated dental cases, as well as common cosmetic dental treatments.

"Everyone is so caring, friendly, and thorough." Chemo destroyed his teeth. Now he is smiling again.
We take the time to answer all of our patient’s questions about cosmetic dentistry procedures so that they feel comfortable with the treatment options. Here are a few commonly asked questions we receive.
Cosmetic dentistry services can involve many different dental care treatment options. These treatments are not just for dental imperfections but can also be about improving your oral health. Your teeth allow you to have the functionality you need to chew and sustain a healthy life. These restorative dentistry options include:
These are the types of cosmetic services we can use to restore your beautiful smile. Whether you are missing one or more teeth, they can be replaced with a crown, dental implants, partial denture, or full denture.
Depending on the type of procedure you need will determine whether or not you will need to be numbed. For example, tooth whitening is not a treatment that requires numbing. However, if you are having other dental services done, like getting a crown, implant, or anything that requires us to grind on the teeth or cut the gums, you will be administered a numbing agent. Depending on how extensive the treatment is that our cosmetic dentists need to do, you may have an additional level of sedation.
Dental implants and veneers actually address two different dental problems. An implant is placed in the gum to use as an anchor for a crown to replace one or more missing teeth. Dental veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are fixed to your natural teeth. These are typically used to enhance chipped or cracked teeth. So, essentially, one is to replace missing teeth, and the other is to make your natural teeth look better in appearance.
Regardless of the treatment you may need, rest assured that our cosmetic dentist team at Pro Dental Dallas will always strive to make your smile look better. As prosthodontists, we will explore all available options to have you smiling bigger and better than in the past.
