Dr. Jason Roe and our dental team want to help you have the top-notch oral health you deserve. So, today we would like to teach you how to properly brush your teeth. There are many little things you might not know about caring for your smile, and this blog can help you know all about them!
It’s best to brush your teeth twice a day with a toothbrush that has soft bristles and with a toothpaste that contains fluoride. This you might have already known, but did you know it’s important to brush a different section of your smile while you clean your teeth? Well, it’s true. It’s best to clean each quadrant of your mouth equally during the two minutes you are brushing.
Remember to brush for two minutes every morning and night. Please do not brush longer than those two minutes. Brushing longer can damage your gums and your tooth enamel. As you brush, make sure to use the right tools so you can clean as well as care for your smile.
Lastly, it’s important to keep your toothbrush in tip-top shape. You can do so by keeping your brush away from germs and letting it dry before you put a toothbrush cover on it. It’s also recommended to replace your brush every 3-4 months or when your toothbrush bristles have frayed.
